Sunshine in Fall: Our Virtual Fundraiser is Back

Mark your calendars: SPJ Oregon is hosting its virtual fundraiser this fall. It launches on Nov. 23 and ends on Nov. 30, the National Day of Giving.

Like last year, we’ll host a virtual silent auction full of unique items submitted by our volunteer board and other journalists across our region.

This fundraiser helps pay for our lobbyist, Tom Holt, who lobbies for laws that support media access and public records transparency. For instance, we’re already working on a bill that would allow journalists into wildfire zones as they are reporting on these breaking news events.
