ABOUT the spj Greater Oregon Pro chapter

The Society of Professional Journalists is the oldest journalism organization in the United States. It has local chapters across the country, including the Greater Oregon Pro Chapter.

The SPJ Oregon chapter covers all of Oregon and Southwest Washington. We’re part of the SPJ Region 10, which includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.

BECOME A MEMBER

If you are a journalist in Oregon or Southwest Washington, you can choose SPJ Oregon as your local chapter when you register with SPJ. We don’t charge extra dues for joining our chapter. Members enjoy benefits such as reduced fees from contest entries and training events.
