We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 Excellence in Journalism Award Contest for SPJ Region 10. The contest featured more than 1,100 entries from news organizations across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

All told, there were nearly 170 first, second and third place winners from our colleagues in Oregon and southwest Washington. We want to extend a hearty congratulations to the winners, and a sincere thank you to everyone who entered their work. In a stressful year of nonstop news and media consolidation, Oregon journalists continued to produce important and meaningful stories that informed their community.
We will spend the coming weeks ordering trophies and certificates and distributing them to the winners in our coverage area. Stay tuned for more information once the prizes are ready.
