BECOME A MEMBER
SPJ members receive free or reduced pricing to chapter programs and help support SPJ’s national efforts to protect the First Amendment, freedom of press, media credibility and the public’s access to information. There are no additional dues to join the Oregon chapter.
JOIN A SUBCOMMITTEE
SPJ Oregon subcommittees are open to all members. They meet by phone semi-monthly to make decisions about organizing social events, informational trainings, or legislative initiatives. Help the board make big decisions by joining one of our three subcommittees: Events, Trainings, or Freedom Of Information. Send the board of directors an email explaining which one you’d like to join and why.
ORGANIZE OR ATTEND AN EVENT
SPJ Oregon organizes events year-round across the region and we encourage members to organize events near them. Check out our calendar to see what’s coming up, or let us know about an event or training session you’re organizing so we can promote it.
